When should you trim a hedge?
Most hedges should be trimmed twice a year, once in early summer after the first growth flush and once in late summer. Formal beech and hornbeam hedges benefit from a single annual trim in August. Flowering hedges such as forsythia are trimmed after flowering.
During the breeding season (15 March – 15 July) we always check for active bird nests before cutting. We work across North Holland: Alkmaar, Haarlem, Amsterdam, Hoorn, Purmerend, Zaandam and Heerhugowaard.
